ENTRY TERMS & CONDITIONS

1 Adult Section – limit of 3 artworks per artist.
Size – Artwork size is limited to a maximum of 1.2m either direction, including frame, and not weighing more than 15kg (including 3D).
2 Youth Section – limit of 1 artwork per artist.
Size – Artwork size is limited to an overall size of A1 (594x841mm) including frame. Must be able and ready to hang.
3 All exhibits must be exhibition ready to hang or display with strong supports. Photography is not eligible.
4 An official entry form must be completed, terms and conditions agreed to and fees paid prior to the closing date.
5 Entries must be the original, unaided work of the entrant, have been completed in the last two years and have not won a 1st prize at an art show (Agricultural shows exempt). Copies will not be judged.
6 Each item must be clearly marked with the artist’s name, section number, title and phone number (and price if applicable).
7 Section 2 – 3D. Work is limited to 1 square metre floor space.
8 Section 3 – Novice. Must never have won a prize in an art festival (agricultural shows not included).
9 Section 6 – Still Life. Set up and arranged – not a natural one – with flora and objects, that contains no fauna.
10 Section 7 – Human Form. A study, caricature or portrait of a human.
11 Section 8 – Drawing Class. Graphite, charcoal, pen, ink only.
12 Sections 1, 10 – 3D works are also permissible in these sections.
13 Exhibits may be placed for sale. 20% commission for all sales to be retained by Mary Valley Art Festival. (Payment from sales will be made within 30 days).
14 The judge’s decision is final no disputation will be entered into.
15 While all care will be taken in handling art work, insurance of works is the entrant’s responsibility and Mary Valley Artslink bears no responsibility for damaged or lost art work.
16 Entrants agree, by entering the competition, that media reproduction of their work from photographs or film can be used for promotional purposes.
17 The committee reserves the right to withdraw and/or reclassify entries. Artists will be notified prior to judging.
18 Handling fees of $20 charged if work is posted and held before or after stated times.
19 Unclaimed works will become the property of Mary Valley Art Festival after 30 days.
