Submit your artwork:

  1. Finished artwork to be delivered on Sunday June 28 to Imbil Public Hall, Edward Street, Imbil only between 10am-3pm OR
  2. Post artwork to be delivered by Friday June 19 (Handling fees apply) to PO Box 124, Imbil Q 4570

Collection of artwork:

Artwork to be collected on Sunday July 5 between 3pm-5pm. Artwork will not be released prior. Handling fees apply if artwork is not collected

Terms and Conditions

1. ADULT SECTION LIMIT OF 3 ARTWORKS PER ARTIST.
ADULT SECTION: artwork size is limited to a maximum of 1.2m in either direction, including frame and not weighing more then 15kg (excluding 3D).
2. YOUTH SECTION LIMIT OF 1 ARTWORK PER ARTIST
YOUTH SECTION artwork site is listed to an overall size of A1(594x841mm) including frame. Must be hangable.
3. All exhibits must be exhibition ready to hang or display with strong supports or will not be hung.
4. An official entry form must be completed, Terms and Conditions agreed and fees paid prior to the closing date.
5. Entries must be the original, unaided work of the entrant, have been completed in the last 2 years & have not won a 1st prize at an art show (Agricultural shows exempt). Copies will not be judged. Photography or digitally enhanced work not eligible.
6. Each item must be clearly marked with the section, title, medium, entrant’s name, address, telephone number (and price if applicable).
7. Section 2—3D: work is limited to 1 square metre floor space. Work must be original and unaided.
8. Section 4—Novice Section: must never have won a prize in an art festival (agricultural shows not included).
9. Section 6 – Still Life: consists of an arranged setting—not a natural one.
10. Section 7 – Human Form: a study, caricature or portrait of a human.
11. Section 8 – Drawing class: Graphite, charcoal, pen, ink only.
12 Section 1, 11, 12, 13 – 3D works are permissible in these sections.

13. Exhibits may be placed for sale. 20% commission of all sales to be retained by MVAFestival. (Payment of sales will be made within 30 days).
14. The judge’s decision is final and no disputation will be entered into.
15. While all care will be taken in handling art work, insurance of works is the entrant’s responsibility and Mary Valley Artslink bears no responsibility for damaged or lost art work.
16. Entrants agree to allow media reproduction of their work from photographs or film for promotional purposes.
17. The committee reserves the right to withdraw and/or reclassify entries. Artists will be notified prior to judging.
18. Handling fees of $20 charged if work is held before or after stated times.
19. Unclaimed works will become the property of MVAF after 30 days.

20. Section 10 Qld Architecture – An original, 2D work depicting Qld Architecture. Any Medium. No 3D.

If you are posting your works, please ensure that they will arrive to our postal address by the date stipulated on the Entry Form, to allow easy processing. If they arrive late, we cannot guarantee they will be accepted.
