If you are posting your works, please ensure that they will arrive to our postal address by the date stipulated on the Entry Form, to allow easy processing. If they arrive late, we cannot guarantee they will be accepted.

11. G150 Heritage Mary Valley Chamber of Commerce Award (cond 13) – prize $1000 – entry $10

Thunderbird Demolition People’s Choice Award – auto entry for all – prize $500

Festival Sections – Youth

Bush Haven Youth Art Awards   Vision- To empower young people (18 or under) who otherwise would be unable to fully explore their artistic ability, to nurture and develop their artistic ability and future.

Section 12 Aged 13 years and under – prize  1st, $150 2nd, $100 3rd $50 -entry $7

Section 13 Aged 14-18 years – prize 1st, $500 2nd, $300 3rd $150

Terms & Conditions

Conditions of Entry – Adults

1. LIMIT OF 5 ARTWORKS PER ARTIST
2. Hung artwork size is limited to an overall size of 1.5m² including frame
3. All exhibits must be ready to hang or display with strong supports or will not be hung. Canvases must be painted on all edges/no staples visible.
4. An official entry form & fees must be completed, signed & submitted
5. Entries must be the original, unaided work of the entrant, have been completed in the last 2 years & have not won a 1st prize at an art show (Agricultural shows exempt). Copies will not be judged.
6. Each item must be clearly marked with the title, medium, section, entrant’s name, address, telephone number (and price if applicable).
7. Section 2—3D work is limited to 1 square metre floor space.
8. Section 4—Novice Section Criteria: must never have won a prize in an art festival (agricultural shows not included).
9. Section 6—Still Life consists of an arranged setting—not a natural one.
10. Section 7—a study, caricature or portrait of a human.
11. Section 8—Drawing class: Graphite, charcoal, pen, ink only.
12. Section 9—Natural Flora– a study of any flora in a natural setting.
13. Exhibits may be placed for sale. 20% commission of all sales to be retained by MVAFestival. (payment of sales will be made within 30 days).
14. The judge’s decision is final and no disputation will be entered into.
15. While all care will be taken in handling art work, insurance of works is the entrant’s responsibility and Mary Valley Artslink Inc bears no responsibility for damaged or lost art work.
16. Entrants agree to allow media reproduction of their work from photographs or film during the exhibition for promotional purposes.
17. The committee reserves the right to withdraw and/or reclassify entries. Artists will be notified prior to judging.
18. Handling fees of $20 charged if work is held before or after stated times.
19. Unclaimed works will become the property of MVAF after 30 days.

2. OPEN artwork size is limited to an overall size of A1(594x841mm) including frame.
3. AGE artwork size is limited to an overall size of A2 (420x594mm) including frame.
4. All exhibits must be ready to hang or display with strong supports or will not be hung. Canvases must be painted on all edges/no staples visible.
5. An official entry form & fees must be completed, signed & submitted
6. Entries must be the original, unaided work of the entrant, have been completed in the last 2 years & have not won a 1st prize at an art show (Agricultural shows exempt). Copies will not be judged.
